  • Alison argues: "For learners to establish their online social presence there are three necessary levels of interaction that need to be designed into the learning programme to assist this process. The three levels of interaction are:

    1. Learner-to-computer (system interaction)
    2. Learner-to-learner (interpersonal interaction)
    3. Learner-to-teacher/facilitator/lecturer (building positive relationship with students)

Online social presence results in learners establishing their cognitive presence online. Once they have created their online social presence they can begin to interact with the content to be learnt (cognitive presence)." (Dec 29, 2009 10:06 PM, para. 1-2)

OpenOffice Extensions: Four selections from the top 50

Sun Presentation Minimizer

by Sun Microsystems, Inc.

Professional Template Pack II - English

by Sun Microsystems, Inc.

Web2.0 OpenOffice.org collaboration & document management extension

by O3Spaces B.V.

Martin recommends removing the collaboration and document management extension (Better remove that extension, 2009.11.24), while rmentink suggests Martin's comment is dis-informative and recommends that Martin (and others) "read the eula more carefully" (Please remove the above comment, 2009.11.24).

Earlier on, millm had suggested there was a Trojan in the code (Trojan --- Key Logger, 2008.12.04). Though rmentink disputed that suggestion promptly, at present the Open Office Extensions site indicates only one download, and none this week.
